Weekend Candy: November DIY

found here

Wow, November. Where has this year gone to? I feel like we barely had February. I feel like I have to start making my new year´s resolutions soon, get a new diary planner (this took me two months last year, so I hope I won´t be late!) and look back at what I have achieved this year. Well, it´s all going to happen in December of course, but one has to start early assembling all the information. I love November. It´s the month where my mother and brother have their birthday. It´s the time where due to daylight savings it turns dark outside at 5pm. Moments to share with good books and lots of DIYing. Here is what I collected for you this month:

CrockPot Apple Butter

Superyummy crockpot apple butter by Changing My Destiny. Definitely something I´ll make this month. Maybe add some cinnamon, what do you think?

Lindsi from people webs postet this adorable bow headband tutorial that is the first thing on my DIY list after finishing Mr.DomDom´s shawl (that will probably take til April, so nevermind). It looks so cute!

Not enough room for more plants in your apartment our house? Never fear!
String gardens give you a pretty good idea how gorgeous "flying flowers" can look.

Ever wanted more forest creatures around? This electrified fox lamp tutorial by matsutake shows you how in detailed steps. Please only use LED lamps!

Is there any month where I don´t post something from Martha Steward? I don´t think so. But look: handmade snow globes! How could I resist?

Are you serious? LIQUID CHEESECAKE? Drop on by at Tasting Table and give them a hearty THANK YOU!

Something for those of you who don´t have that much time on their hand: Making a leather leaf necklace in 20 minutes by Missie Krissie.

I love the idea of this wrapped cord bracelet by fusion beads. The description is very detailed. Very nice for visual learners like me.

Thread Bobbins

And last but not least some adorable printable thread bobbins by Mollie from wild olive. They are perfect for putting your little crochet project into a tiny purse.

5 things I am grateful for today:
  • going to work on a sunday doesn´t seem all too bad.
  • falling back into my old Animal Crossing addiction. (so relaxing!)
  • afternoon nap.
  • receiving the CUTEST fanmail (*oh face, please don´t be so red*)
  • knowing that this week I might be able to catch up with all the emails and projects.

Hugs to you!

  1. I like to make what we call "Cream Cheese Pudding" (no-bake cheesecake). I don't use Cool Whip - I whip a pint of whipping cream and fold it in.

We made it twice in October with pumpkin. Kind of like getting a serving of vegetable! Okay, not really.

I'll let you know if I try this recipe for Liquid Cheesecake.

  2. I forgot to say that I have made these snowglobes before! The inside of one lid rusted and turned the water dirty. In another, I glued a Minnie Mouse and after months of shaking she came out of her shoes.

  3. Hahaha, Lisa, you just made me laugh so hard! Seems like every snow globe has a story to tell! Maybe I´ll use a jam jar that has a glas lid. Let´s see what will happen to mine ;)

The Cream Cheese Pudding sounds so yummy!!!
