When I started to think about what my apartment should look like, I wanted it to have the feeling of celebrating life. As if it was always ready for a tea party. Light, inviting, friendly, cheerful. Yesterday I noticed that I suddenly found myself in a room, that matched with my blog. This is everything I always wanted, but never dared to think that it could be in my life. I´m more than happy.

I know that to some it might just seem like ordinary bunting flags hanging from a window. To me it´s much more a symbol of growing into the person that I always wanted to be. Living the sweet life, making things with my own hands, creating a save space to invite friends and to relax. I feel like this is the place where I can really bring that children book to life. Every day I am grateful for what I have right now.

When I went to my local bookstore on Saturday, I thought I would scream with joy. One single book on top of the knitting section, waiting for me patiently. The sensation I felt after seeing that they have translated the Zakka book into German! Maybe that is the start of a journey into Japanese crafting! Could it be that after all these years, the cute and minimalistic style is finally coming to my country? I don´t know, I won´t expect it, but even this little is just wonderful.
Sending hugs to you!
XOXO,

wow, yoour apartment looks great! So airy and festive yet laid-back!
ReplyDeleteOMG your appartement looks so so sweet so far! It really fits your personality! <3 Just wonderful!
ReplyDelete„…always ready for a tea party.“ Well than, I wait for the invitation! :D
Aww...The bunting flags look so cute! Makes me want to go make me some right now!
ReplyDeleteYour apartment looks lovely! I love the green accents with the plants you added. I want to see more!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love it! :D Now I've got to go check out what zakka is all about. ^_^
ReplyDeleteLove it and totally get that it may be a simple decoration, but yet it means so much more. So happy for you!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I envy you for having your own place. I want to decorate my room too but I'm not allowed to do much :(
ReplyDeleteSNAP! I have had buntings in my bedroom for a little while now! But only completed them last month XD Your fabric ones are obviously much better than my paper and twine ones .... >u< They're lovely! ^^
ReplyDeleteThey are really easy to make. Takes 3-4 hours. I was lucky, I had all the fabrics already at home. I want to make small ones out of paper and hang them on my doors, so that people know where the bathroom, the bedroom and the living room is. Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteThe time will come when you can. Took me 26 years, so you still have some time to go. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Tamara, coming from you it means the world!!!
ReplyDeleteZakka is one of my favorites! I really adore the minimalistic style, yet everything is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI cannot live without plants! This is just the start, let me show you the apartment again in one or two months, everything will be covered in plants :D I adore orchids, I have a really hard time not bringing home every single pretty one that I see.
ReplyDeleteIt´s really not hard and it adds so much to the atmosphere of the room!
ReplyDeleteThank you Leni! I can hardly wait to show it to you!
ReplyDeleteWell, if you ever happen to be in Vienna, you definitely have to come by and visit!
ReplyDeleteI am inlove with the light in your apartment. The house I live in with my in-laws have become dull and dusty from their lack of cleaning. I am trying to live vicariously through you, I am happy when you are happy. Ever since you posted the video of your apartment some time ago, I sometimes look out at nowhere and imagine myself in a house like yours and be completely at peace.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward for more lovely personal posts from you, darling. :)
I was just thinking about doing the same thing and adding those bunting flags to decorate my place too! They're such a great and simple idea!
ReplyDeleteWell done on the bunting! It looks so good!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I’ve thought about starting my own design blog for years but always had some sort of excuse stopping me. Hopefully the inspiration sticks!
