It´s been like that for 2 weeks or so. I open my eyes, feel wide awake and when I take a look at my iPad, it´s freaking 3am in the morning. Anyone else out there having issues with falling asleep lately? Happy Friday though! Let´s hope we can get some rest tonight.
XOXO,

For a long time I had insomnia because of the anti-depressants I was on. I never really found anything to help with it, except, on nights you know you won't be able to sleep I found it was better to just get out of bed and read or something; I wasn't going to be sleeping anyway, so I may aswell have done something productive.

I have this problem constantly; I'll wake up at three or four and be up until seven in the morning or so until I feel tired again so I tend to make sure I do something with my time rather than just waste it trying to go back to sleep (when that's obviously not going to happen). Hopefully you can get over this insomnia soon and doesn't become a constant in your life like mine!!

I almost wish I had this problem! Many nights I can't get to sleep until 3 or 4 am... Even if I get into bed, I just toss and turn for more than an hour, especially when I'm thinking about stuff. It's like my brain can't turn off. -_-
ReplyDeletei don't have this problem right now, but when i had trouble sleeping before, i would just think if really nice, calming things like a flowing field of grass with wildflowers & grazing sheep or a cooing brook. & soon enough i would be back to sleep. happy. good luck!

I used to have this problem when I was younger, but now due to the school break I've been staying up late, and sleeping till noon.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be really hard to adjust back to school!
But, if I have trouble sleeping, I usually drink some sleepy tea. It seems to really work for me, and it's all natural! ^-^
i stay up late at about 4 a.m and can't sleep afterwards until it's already 7a.m!! it's annoying and really frustrating to force urself out to sleep! and lately i have so much problem in sleeping and it makes my body tired... u_u
ReplyDeleteThat´s what I do right now. I try to learn japanese. It helps quite a lot because listening to the audio tapes is so boring. Yet it would be nice to get at least one night a week to sleep through.
ReplyDeleteAnti-depressants mess with your whole organic system, it´s crazy. I never took them myself but I had some friends and they were all better after switching to alternative medicine or TCM.
Hugs!
That´s how it started out for me too. I´m glad now that I at least only stay up for an hour or two and not longer. =____=
ReplyDeleteBut sometimes I do look worse when I get more sleep than when I stay up, haha.
Might be a strange question, but do you eat dinner? I´m one of the people who will stay up all night if they have dinner. The body digests everything and then you have tons of sugar and energy in your blood....I can´t sleep that way. It´s much better when I don´t eat anything after 7pm.
See, I have a hunch that it might actually be my stupid brain thinking of all sorts of things. There are some great changes coming up, it´s exciting and I will let you know when everything is settled and clear... But yes, that might be the reason why I can´t go back to sleep. There were times when I had the same schedule, going to bed at 2 or 3am.....it almost killed me. I´m a morning person so I´ll wake up at 6am no matter when I go to bed....
ReplyDeleteWheee, I just had a look at your blog! Do feel better soon!!! I just remembered that watching Jamie Oliver or any other nice cooking show always calmed me down a lot!!! Thinking about sheep and wildflowers.....that´s what brought Jamie´s outdoor adventures to my mind! Thanks for making me remember!
ReplyDeleteI will slip into the same sleeping schedule if I don´t watch out and keep illustrating and drawing til 4am. It´s hard to force myself to stop when I am in the flow....
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of sleepy tea do you take? What are the ingredients? Maybe I can make my own. :)
God, I hear ya! My body is so tired that around 3pm my brain goes numb and I can´t even think straight for at least 2 hours. Very annoying. Let´s hope that this is just a phase and that it´ll pass soon for the both of us!
ReplyDeleteyay! good ; ) keep remembering those happy things!
ReplyDeleteThe brand is Yogi. But, I have no idea what the ingredients are!! *-*
ReplyDeleteGood thing: I can sleep. Bad thing: I wake up hungry. :D :D
ReplyDeleteAh, I love the Yogi teas!!! They are amazing! That have a chocolate tea that is wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh that must be tough. :( I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes but it's not often that I can't sleep anymore. I heard that the best solution for this is just to wake up and do some work. And then take a nap when the time permits. It's the best way to not feel fatigued from broken sleep.
